The property

Set in Norfolk’s Wensum Valley, Lyng is in a beautiful part of the country which is very popular with walkers and anglers, so once you have had enough outdoor actions why not relax in The Fox.

On the primary road, and next to a stream in the charming Village of Lyng, The Fox Country Pub & Restaurant goes back just about 300 years.

In 2014, The Fox was taken over  by Husband and Wife team Victoria King and Gavin Hunt, who also run The Lodge in North Tuddenham.

Completely redesigned, but keeping the traditional beamed ceilings and open fire, this brings a fresh and electric feel and still keeps the Country Pub origins..

Genuine about nourishment and beverage, The Fox offers an extensive variety of Real Ales and fine wines, together with a delicious menu shaped from the best local produce. All dishes are freshly prepared and we know that you will always discover something to your liking.

Youngsters’ menus are available and we can provide food for any special requirements.

We have Special Offers on most of the week, please see our ‘News / Offers’ page for further information.

For brighter days, The Fox has a beautiful garden area.

Also off road parking is available,

The Fox at Lyng is accessible to contract for wedding breakfasts and wedding gatherings, birthday parties, special events and corporate functions.

Let us work with you to make a tailored menu to fit your budget and preferences.
Possessing wide experience of delivering fabulous weddings and events at our sister Pub & Restaurant, The Lodge, we can even help with entertainment and other such necessaries for a truly memorable event.

We also offer a Children’s Menu for growing foodies.
Our night A la Carte menu changes on a week by week basis.
