Cliftonville Hotel

The property

Open all year round, the Cliftonville Hotel has established an enviable reputation as one of North Norfolk’s leading hotels. Not only accommodation but Bolton’s Bistro, Westcliff A La Carte Restaurant and an all day Buttery Bar and Coffee shop.

Built in 1897, the Cliftonville Hotel occupies the premier position on the Cromer seafront and all 30 en-suite bedrooms benefit from stunning views of the sea and town. Many of the original Edwardian features remain, including the ‘Gone with the Wind’ style staircase in the main lobby and beautiful stained glass windows and doors, as well as the classic Minstrels’ Gallery.

Now in the 21st century this Cromer hotel has introduced an all day coffee shop and bar with a wide selection of speciality teas and coffees, pastries and light meals. Bolton’s Bistro specialises in fresh fish dishes as well as offering a variety of meat and vegetarian options, providing guests with a more relaxed and informal atmosphere in which to dine. The Ballroom Lounge reserved exclusively for guests is decorated with hand painted murals and provides an area of calm tranquility at the end of a busy day.

Open all year round, the Cliftonville Hotel has established an enviable reputation as one of North Norfolk’s leading hotels. A truly pleasurable dining experience can be found in this unique room, seating up to 80/100 guests. Using only the best from local produce to create innovative and delectable menus designed by Robert Cammell, we have achieved a fantastic and well deserved reputation. Our table d’hote and a la carte menus provide a world of choice for those who appreciate fine food and wine served in a classic atmosphere.

The Buttery Bar and Coffee Shop is open all day every day and serves speciality teas and coffees as well as light meals, delicious pastries, sandwiches and homemade sausage rolls. Our busy but comfortable bar area is the perfect place to meet before dinner or to simply unwind from the day. We offer a wide selection of real ales, beers and spirits as well an extensive wine list served by the glass, half litre carafe or the bottle.
