Set within rural Norfolk, the Old Rectory Hotel is the perfect location for a short break, business trip or relaxing holiday. A family run business we take pride offering in a personal and friendly service.

Our 16 en-suite rooms are set within 3.5 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, away from the bustle of inner city life. If you’re looking for the perfect base from which to explore North Norfolk then look no further. The famous Norfolk Broads are just a short drive away with the popular tourist destination of Wroxham just 2 miles north and the picturesque riverside village of Coltishall just one mile away.

There are walking and cycling routes nearby not to mention countless tourist attractions. Norwich city centre (4.8 miles) offers a shopping metropolis with a vast array of restaurants, pubs, music venues, cafes, bars, and historical sites suitable for families and couples alike.

The Original Old Rectory dates back to the mid 18th Century and served nearby Crostwick Church (one of the oldest churches in Norfolk). Now privately owned the Solomon family have transformed the rectory into a beautiful Country House Hotel. Set within 3.5 acres of landscaped gardens The Old Rectory Hotel is ideally situated to enjoy the best that Norfolk has to offer. With easy access to the Norfolk Broads, Norwich City Centre, Tourist Attractions, Norwich International Airport and the North Norfolk Coastline.

We have 16 comfortable and well equipped rooms in total, many of which offer views of the gardens. All of our rooms offer ensuite facilities with either a walk in shower or shower/bath. (If you have a specific requirement please enquire on booking.) We are entirely ground floor and all rooms are non-smoking. In the main hotel there are 12 spacious and well equipped rooms offering either, double standard or King size beds. Twin rooms and single occupancy also available. We have a further 4 rooms in our cottage building just a short walk across the gardens. Including 3 standard double one four poster bed. 

Bedroom Facilities – Ensuite shower or shower/bath with complimentary toiletries and towels provided, flat screen TV with free view, tea coffee making facilities, trouser press and hairdryer.

Picturesque Setting
Nestled in the village of Crostwick near Norwich (4 miles north) The Old Rectory is surrounded by common and farm land and is set within 3.5 acres of beautiful gardens. Our setting makes the perfect location for a short break or relaxing holiday. With a direct route to Norwich city centre and the famous Norfolk Broads just 2 miles away, guests are ideally situated to enjoy the best that Norfolk has to offer.

Deluxe Room
We are thrilled to announce our newly refurbished Deluxe Room is now finished and available to book. Formerly the Four Poster this room now features a beautiful white sleigh bed and romantic style white furniture. This is a quiet ground floor room with plenty of space. Ideal for couples looking for a touch of luxury and romance.

Family Rooms and Extra Beds
Most hotel rooms are large enough to fit an extra bed for a child (up to 12yrs, max 2 per room). However for larger families we offer Adjoining Family Rooms. These rooms consist of 2 ensuite rooms with an interconnecting door and can sleep up to 4 adults and 4 children. If you would like to enquire about an adjoining room please contact us in person as these cannot be booked online.

Breakfast Included
Included in our bed and breakfast rates we are delighted to offer a Full English or Continental breakfast prepared using some of the best locally sourced produce in North Norfolk.
Breakfast is served: Mon to Sat 7am – 9am Sunday 7.30am – 9am

Lunch Menu and Packed Lunches
A bar snacks menu is available through out the day and includes a selection of sandwiches, warm filled baguettes and hot meals. For those that are venturing out for the day we offer packed lunches made to order.

Evening Meals
Our restaurant is open to hotel guests for evening meals 7 days a week. We have a daily Table D Hote menu which include 3 courses and coffee @ £19.50 (this is a reduced rate for hotel guests only) or you may choose from our A La Carte Menu.

Hotel Facilities
Car park – We have ample, FREE parking with 24hr CCTV.

Swimming Pool – The outdoor, heated swimming pool is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Its sheltered position makes it an excellent sun trap in the summer months.

Restaurant: Breakfasts and Evening meals are served in one of two fully air conditioned restaurants offering excellent home cooked food. Lunches and packed lunches are available on request.  

Gardens and patio seating – We have 3.5 acres of beautiful landscaped garden for our guests to enjoy, with extensive patio seating area.

Licensed Bar – Our restaurant licensed bar is open for hotel guests

Lounge – We have a comfortable lounge seating area with TV and ches lounge and open fire in the winter months.

Laundry Room –  Ironing board and iron, washing machine, Shoe cleaning.

FREE WIFI – Wireless broadband Internet connection is available in hotel rooms, lounge and both restaurants. (Now also available in cottage rooms)

Wheel chair access and disabled facilities – Whilst we are not currently graded we are entirely ground floor and offer very good wheelchair access throughout the hotel with disabled W/C in reception

Conservatory Restaurant
Max seated 110 / 150 informal. This magnificent room is available for private hire and is perfect for parties any time of year. It has a light and airy feel and offer views of the gardens. The room includes; fully licensed adjoining bar, round tables, chairs and linen, candle stand table decorations, central dance floor, easy access to outdoor patio seating, built in lights and sound system.

Victoriana Suite
This room can accommodate up to 60 . It has a low beamed ceiling and is suitable for smaller parties, It offers a more intimate atmosphere, great for family gatherings. The room includes; small adjoining lounge area, tables, chairs, table linen, bar is accessible through reception. 

Sit down 3 Course Menu from £24.50 per person
Our comprehensive General Menus offer a fantastic range of home cooked dishes and includes the following at no additional cost: private room, tea and coffee after meal, table linen with coordinating napkins, cake stand and knife, table service, (no room hire)

Finger Buffets – From £12.50 per person
This menu is perfect for informal parties, with or without entertainment. Menus include both hot and cold dishes.

Summer BBQ’s and Hog Roasts – from £9.95 per person
The Conservatory is the ideal room for a summer party as it opens out onto the patio and gardens. All food is cooked under cover and served  in the picturesque surroundings of the Old Rectory gardens. 

Funeral Wakes from £8.50 per person
Both our function rooms are suitable for an after funeral gathering. We can accommodate parties of any size from 20 – 150 guests. (no room hire).

Christening Party
Both our function rooms are suitable for a Christening party after a church service. Our conservatory restaurant can also be used for the baby naming ceremony. (Room hires apply). 

We are fully licensed for live entertainment which guests are free to organize themselves. If a Disco is requires our resident DJ is available at an additional cost. 

Optional Extras
Balloons – Bunches of helium balloons and balloons arches are available at very competitive rates.

Flowers – We can offer our silk flower, candle stand table arrangements and three silk flower pedestals free of charge.

Chair Covers – For that extra special touch our elegant white chair covers and co-ordinating coloured sashes are available to hire.

Just 4 miles north of Norwich its rural location ensures a tranquil setting away from the bustle of inner city life but still within easy reach of local amenities (0.5 miles) and direct transport routes to Norwich (4 miles) and local tourist attractions.
