Squash is ideal for the more active and physically fit.  A 45 minute court hire is just 5 points before 5pm and 7 points thereafter.

Tennis is popular with all ages. Matches can be very serious or just great fun.  We are offering an hour’s hire of courts and equipment for unlimited numbers for just 20 points.

The Fakenham Golf Club
Fakenham Golf Club is designed in and around the Fakenham Race track. Cleverly making use of the parkland type landscape, following the river and woodland. Several of the holes are inside the racetrack making this an exciting course with lots of interesting features.

The course is a 9 hole, Par 71, with different tees on the back 9. The course measures a total length of 6245 yards from the white tees.

There are alternate tees making this course a good test for the experienced golfer but not impossible for the beginner. Please see The Fakenham Golf Club website for more information.

The Squash Club
Fakenham Squash Club has approximately 110 members (August 2018).

We have two ‘Banbury’ courts with a small viewing gallery, which are well-lit, heated in winter, and maintained to a good standard.

Courts are normally available for 1 hour sessions every day from 8:45 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. The exceptions are on days when race meetings are held, when courts are not available until 6.00 p.m., and when club events are taking place (club nights, matches, junior sessions etc). The Sports Centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day, and closes early on  Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve .

The club has a qualified Level 2 coach and two qualified Level 1 coaches. It runs weekly club nights on a Thursday evening, fun competitions, junior squash sessions on a Saturday morning, and it also runs teams in the Norfolk winter and summer inter-club leagues, As well as a team in the Norfolk racketball league.
