Our 60 seat restaurant serves a delicious and daily changing menu of fresh, locally sourced produce. Everything we do in the restaurant is geared towards simplicity, responsible sourcing and outstanding quality. The result is honest, reasonably priced food packed with flavour.

The Duck Inn is also the perfect venue for weddings and other events. We have a large, secluded grassed area and can arrange everything including marquees and entertainment.


About The Duck Inn

The Duck Inn is located in Stanhoe, Norfolk, just a few miles from the beautiful North Norfolk coast. The pub was recently acquired by Julian Rivett and immediately underwent a full programme of refurbishment before re-opening in July 2010.

We are proud to offer the very best in locally sourced produce, presented with a warm and welcoming service. It is our aim to treat every single one of our patrons with a care and attention to detail which makes them feel special.

Pub / Bar

The Duck Inn is a traditional British pub, proudly serving a wide variety of local beers together with the Worlds best offerings in wine and spirits. We are an Elgood and Sons pub and as Elgoods are based in Cambridgshire our beer doesn't travel far, so it is always fresh and delicious.

The bar itself is a cosy place in the colder months, with warm open fires and an equally warm and welcoming reception.

In addition to the indoor bar area we also have a wonderful garden with plenty of seating and our marvelous outdoor log burners to keep you warm on those Autumn evenings. We also have a dedicated heated outdoor smoking area/snug which is so nice and cosy that non-smokers can often be found sitting in it too!

Serving the finest fresh produce from the North Norfolk coast.

We are very, VERY passionate about food at The Duck Inn. We aim to deliver the freshest, most honest, simply delicious plate of food that you are likely to find anywhere along the North Norfolk coast.

With a seating capacity of 60 our restaurant is small enough to enable our enthusiastic chefs Dan Black and Davey Matthews to prepare your dish to extraordinary high standards, yet our prices remain affordable.

Our menu changes constantly, depending on the catch of the day or whatever happens to be in season.


Accommodation Rooms

Refurbished in July 2010, our rooms are finished to a high standard of comfort and features. Both rooms can be set up as twin bed or double bed rooms.


Event Hosting

The Duck Inn is the perfect venue for your special event. Inside, we can seat 60-70 while for outdoor events we have the two options of our beer garden for smaller marquees (up to 100 people) or our large grassed field which can house a large marquee for groups of up to 200-300. We also have a large on-site car park.

With over 30 years experience in hospitality and event management we enjoy hosting wedding receptions, corporate events, family gatherings, club meets and much more.

Locations

The North Norfolk Coast is a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there is always much to see and do along this wonderful area of the UK coastline, whatever time of year you visit.

Within 3 miles of our location at Stanhoe lies the bustling, vibrant village of Burnham Market with it's plethora of shops, galleries and much more.

Slightly further afield you'll find the marvelous Holkham Estate, Sandringham Estate and Houghton Hall all offer an excellent day out.

North West Norfolk is of course famous for it's wide, open sandy beaches and from your base location in Stanhoe you will have many beaches to choose from. Our closest beach is Brancaster while Holkham, Wells-next-the-sea and Holme-next-the-sea are also excellent and only a short drive away.

Being on the coast, watersports are well catered for. Sail from Brancaster or Burnham Overy Staithe or for the more adventurous windsurf or kayak at Hunstanton, If golf is your sport then you will enjoy discovering the many excellent golf courses in the area including Brancaster, King's Lynn, Hunstanton, Heacham and more.

There are plenty of family activities nearby too including boat trips with my friend John Brown of Branta Cruises, Bircham Windmill, beach walks, country walks, wildlife centres, farm parks, adventure centres and much, much more.
