It has a large car park next to the picturesque village common which runs alongside the River Bure. This stretch of river has free moorings for 24 hours on a 'first come' basis, very handy if arriving on a holiday cruiser or a day hire boat. Fine Dining The food at the Kings Head is of the highest quality as Kevin, owner and head chef, is the only member of The Masterchefs of Great Britain in The Norfolk Broads. Dishes include such delights as: Kevin has recently been on ITV with the cooking legend Marco Pierre White and his good friend John Kenny, winner of Britain's Best Dish, who supplies Kevin with freerange, rarebreed 'Happy Hogs' pork. The desserts are a speciality not to be missed, all home-made, including such classics as: As well as a full a la carte menu which is served daily, lunchtimes 12pm - 2pm and 6.30pm - 9pm, there is a set menu for lunch which changes daily, (some weekly regulars have been heard to say that they have never had the same dish twice) and there is also a light menu including: On Sundays, food is served all day, starting at 12 midday with a traditional Sunday roast. starters an desserts from the a la carte menu and a couple of meat and fish dishes also from the a la carte menu. During the afternoon, the light menu is served converting back to the full a la carte from 6.30pm onwards. To accompany your meal, a selection of lagers, local real ales and fine wines are available. Luxury B&B Four rooms all recently refurbished to a high standard. Two rooms have en-suite facilities including power showers over large 2-person baths. All rooms have been fitted with acoustic double glazing for noise reduction and have tea and coffee making facilities and flat screen digital TV's. Included in the price is, if desired, an English breakfast which keep even the hungriest full till supper, fresh juices and freshly ground coffee or tea.
